The Herald-Independent has another article up about the Lake Monona Water Walk detailing much of the weekends events and even getting some quotes from our busy Coordinator, Dianné Aldrich!
Details are falling into place for the three-day water event of 2012. We’re about a week away from the Lake Monona Water Walk, and the excitement is growing for the once-in-a-lifetime event.
Kicking off Friday, July 6, the event welcomes two internationally known figures to Monona, First Nations Ojibwe Grandmother Josephine Mandamin and William Waterway Marks. The two will lead the 13-mile walk around Monona on Sunday, which is the culminating event of the entire weekend.
