2012 Reclaim Our Lakes for Earth Day

Sustain Dane and some enterprising UW students are looking for some help this weekend and next week!

Earth Day is approaching! Do your part to clean up Madison’s lakes.

Sustain Dane has been working with four University of Wisconsin students on a marketing and management project for a “team management” course. These students are excited about promoting lake cleanup—and have produced materials instructing residents on simple measures we each can take to help out. To get the word out, they also are organizing neighborhood canvases.

It is a great way to help reduce waste runoff. If you can help these students get out the word, these efforts can have far-reaching effects—and also encourage these students to continue their interest in civic engagement.

WHEN & WHERE: Join a brief training session on Saturday, April 21st at 9 a.m. in 1170 Grainger Hall to pick up the materials and secure a residential location to target. You will be performing the canvas at your own convenience from April 21-28.
